This is the evolution of the CUCEA Web Portal. The fourth will be, in the series of the different versions of this University Center’s Web sites. Changes in the main content structure, further development in the graphic design into a cleaner and more minimalist and discreet (yet sober and serious) layout, full integration of every page into a single template (and as time allows us, different ’skins’ for each section), complete markup building based on the latest W3C standards, strict XHTML, valid CSS, full cross browser accessibility, server side programming in php, and the use of an open source CMS.

I was thinking the other day… well I don’t really remember what but I came to a conclusion that sounded really interesting, elegant, intelligent and even poetic…

We’ve recently just opened up a partner blog at posadaestrada dot wordpress. ‘Tis just more nonsense. But this time, I added some pals to the formula and it gets even worse. Well I don’t know what else to say. Do drop by if you own enough time to dive into the realm of chaotic stupidity and untidy concepts from beyond sanity.

Test of English as a Foreign Language. Tomorrow I shall take this test and afterwards I’ll be able to continue my application to the University of Westminster, where I’d like to study a Master.
I have not studied, nor made any formal practice nor anything, yet I hope and pray that everything goes well. In fact, I am not taking the International test, which I think is what I need, but in its stead, I am applying for the Institutional one. The thing is that I need to take a test as fast as I can in order to progress with the application (which requires a formal way of proving my english level), and then, the scholarship.
“So let it be written, so let it be done…”
Yeah, tomorrow at eleven o clock: (as I like to call it) the TOFLE.

At least! I Finally came to a solution to a design of a web site layout, which a well known, ugly, horrible, not standards-compliant, god-damn (but unfortunately the most popular and used) Internet Browser just refused to display correctly.
Another reason for me to urge you to switch now to Firefox. Firefox is an open source browser, with the ‘ability’ to display web content as it is supposed to be (as the W3C International Standards group recommends, yes, that non-lucrative organization directed by Tim Berners Lee). And you can customize your Firefox with different skins and plugins, and add tons and tons of functionality to your web experience.
That and because Yoda says so.
Anyway I am proud of having this thing achieved, (almost) all by myself, hehe. I had to use some cheap-tricks on my CSS to make it work for IE (hate it!), but it was the only way, you always need to hack down IE (hate it more!). If you’d like to find out what I’m talking about you can check out the ALAP site, with different browsers and let me know what you think…

I was suposed to be in a photoshop course, this week and the next one. But no one arrived (yes, I was the teacher), except the second day, two pupils showed up. But the course was cancelled for the lack of success, hehe.
Anyway, I think it’s better like this, I’ll save the time for other nonesenses, like posting @ wordpress dot com.
